In normal single operating pull cylinders which function in rough operating conditions the repetitive air exchange with the surroundings may result in accelerated corrosion in the cylinder workspace and corresponding wear of the piston seal.

The patent of the BÜTER^® Maschinenfabrik GmbH with respect to pull cylinders is based on the endeavour to improve a pressurised pull cylinder in such a way that with simple means a higher reliability and a continuous loading capacity can be achieved.

The air exchange stop which has been integrated in the air exchange bore enables on the one side a free piston movement towards the outside  and on the other side an adequately tight seal around the cylinder bottom.
